Enjoy A Hindi Language Play

"We are born to serve, not to question," says a female domestic worker in New Delhi. But when Uma, a young domestic worker, starts questioning her role, the dynamics with her employer, Urvashi, a 20-something single mother, take a dramatic turn. On one ordinary morning, Uma asserts herself, and the unemployed Urvashi resists with all her conditioning. This (extra)ordinary drama explores whether Uma can impose her free will or if Urvashi will make her pay for her insubordination, delving into themes of caste, unemployment, egalitarianism, and desire. Written and directed by Vibhor, produced by Khushi Khurana, with sound by Dhruv Samrat and Vaibhav Batra, and graphics by Driti Wadwa, "Developed at Khuli Khirkee, New Delhi," the play features performances by Aastha Chadha, Khushi Goswami, and Praveen Kumar.
