Located just 10 km from the bustling town of Kalimpong, Bhalukhop acts as a gateway to charming destinations such as Delo, Lava, Sillery Gaon, and Icche Gaon. Situated at an elevation of 5,300 feet above sea level, the village offers a captivating vantage point to view the radiant hues of the sun caressing the peaks of the Annapurna and the Kanchenjunga while the Teesta River shimmers in the valley below. A must-visit spot is the Art Cafe, established by local residents Pravesh Chhetri and Yachna Rizal. Located a mere 22km from the bustling tourist hub of Kalimpong, Pedong is a quaint destination that has yet to be discovered by many. To reach Kalimpong, you have several options. The nearest airport is Bagdogra International Airport, about 78 km away. From there, you can take a taxi or a shared cab for a scenic 3-4 hour drive to Kalimpong. If you prefer travelling by train, the closest railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP), approximately 70 km from Kalimpong. From NJP, you can hire a cab or take a bus to reach your destination. Kalimpong is also well-connected by road, with regular bus services from nearby cities like Siliguri, Darjeeling, and Gangtok.
