Witness the Mughal ruins dotted within the premises and the secluded lotus pond. Visit the Humayun's Tomb and Nizamuddin nearby, stopping at the Sabz Burj on the way. Also, explore the tomb of the great Abdul Rahim Khan-i-Khanan in the vicinity.
Head to the Amrit Udyan behind the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Trail across the stretch from till the India Gate witnessing the flowebeds and British colonial architecture. Also, visit the nearby National Gallery of Modern Art or the National Gallery, both rich in collection.
Loiter around the "green lungs" of Delhi as you see the magnificent Lodhi-era monuments. Head to the nearby Safdarjung Tomb, a rococco architecture with a lovely, bulbous mosque. At the end, head to the Khan Market, dotted with luxurious shops and the iconic Bahrisons bookstore.
Explore the Red Fort and collect souvenirs at the fort store. Stroll through the Chandni Chowk, where you can munch at Paranthe Wali Gali. Also, head to the Jama Masjid. Many other pitstops await you including the St. James' Church, Moti Masjid, Daryaganj, and old havelis among others.
Head to arguably the oldest site in Delhi: Indraprastha. Visit the Purana Qila and witness its Qila-i-Kuna Mosque, Sher Mandal (where some believe Humayun met his tragic end!), Kairul Manzil, pond, and much more. Then, spend time at the nearby National Zoological Park.
Visit the Qutub Complex and witness its many wonders, including the Qutub Minar, Asokan pillar, the Quwwatul-Islam Mosque, Alai Minar, and Smith's Folly. Visit the nearby Mehrauli Archaeological Park and explore its many offerings, including a hunting house, tombs, and a stepwell. The area is also known for Phool Waalon Ki Sair.
Head to the northern extension of the Aravalli mountain range, which is about 1.5 billion years old. Witness the 1857 Munity Memorial nearby, deemed haunted by some. There are many other sites in the area including Pir Ghalib hunting lodge, Chauburji Masjid, and a stepwell inside Hindu Rao Hospital.
Explore the 783-acre forest area near Mehrauli. The fauna here includes nilgai, golden jackals, snakes, and butterflies. Witness the Qutub Minar at a distance from its vantage point. Witness many monuments flanking the Anang Tal Lake.
The complex is dotted with many structures including a well preserved stepwell, an Asokan pillar, and Jami Masjid, among others. The site is said to be haunted by djinns.
Explore Hauz Khas village's medieval complex and witness its ancient Islamic madrasa, mosque, Firz Shah's tomb, and the Royal Tank. Head to Humayunpur for a taste of North-Eastern, Tibetan, and Korean cuisine and trendy shopping.
