Cricket guru Sachin Tendulkar's social media tells us of his love for travel and exploration. On and off, Tendulkar is found dumping pictures from his travels around the world including UK, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Australia and more.
On a recent trip, Tendulkar was found in the picturesque landscapes of Kashmir where he posted from. Kashmir, called the 'Heaven on Earth,' is known for various things ranging from natural beauty, handicrafts, cuisine, culture and more.
In one of the pictures, Tendulkar is seen posing under the snowfall in Pahalgam. It is a hill station in the Anantnag district located on the banks of the Lidder River, at an elevation of 2,740 meters above sea level. Pahalgam is known as Shepherds Valley and is famous for its forests, lakes and meadows.
In the snowfall in Pahalgam, Tendulkar also shared a picture with a mountain sheep of the region. The region is also inhabited by are many rare species of fauna such as hangul, musk deer, serow, brown bear, Leopard, rhesus macaque, grey langur, and Himalayan mouse hare.
In another post from Kashmir, Tendulkar is seen playing in the snow with family. A man of puns, he's captioned the pictures, "Love at frost sight." Parts of Kashmir witnessed light rains and snowfall lately as Gulmarg recorded a terrific -10 degrees temperature.
A fan of travels, Sachin seems to have completely enjoyed the densely snow-clad landscape of Kashmir, among other things.
Kashmir willow bats are cricket bats made from high-quality wood. They are known for being tough and durable, and are a good choice for beginners. In another post, Tendulkar is seeing trying out the willow revealing that his first ever bat was a Kashmiri willow.
Later on, the God of Cricket visited Uri, a town and a tehsil in the Baramulla district. There, he met with Indian soldiers and expressed that he is "soaked in patriotism, respect for our soldiers & love for our country!" Additionally, he also played cricket with the armymen.
