In a move to boost spiritual tourism, the Uttar Pradesh Government is expected to come up with a temple museum soon. According to sources, the museum will be constructed in the city of Ayodhya, encompassing details on the temples of India.
Reports suggest that this initiative is set to showcase the distinct features of Indian temples, coupling their intricate architecture with their scientific significance.
Furthermore, the temple museum reportedly aims to educate the younger generation about the rationale behind the strategic placement of temples and the philosophies guiding their conception.
The move seeks to explore ancient India's technological advancements and the importance of institutions like "mathas" and "pithams."
The museum is expected to include twelve galleries that will delve into a range of subjects, including the concept of divinity in Sanatan Dharma, the philosophical underpinnings of worship practices, the significance of temples in facilitating rituals, architectural finesse and craftsmanship.
Besides, the temple premises will have a garden, a cafeteria, and basement parking facilities, among other amenities.
Ram Janmabhoomi
The Ram Janmabhoomi, meaning "Ram's Birthplace," is believed to be where Lord Ram was born. This site holds immense significance for worshippers. Soon, the site will have a temple dedicated to the deity, construction for which is already underway.
Ram Ki Paidi
The Saryu River features numerous ghats known as Ram Ki Paidi. Legend goes that these ghats are used by devotees to wash away their sins. This stretch of riverfront offers an illuminated view during the nighttime.
Sita Ki Rasoi
Sita Ki Rasoi is believed to be the original kitchen of Sita, located in Rajkot on the northwest side of Ram Janmabhoomi. It has now been turned into a temple where you can see some of the vessels used back then.
Hanuman Garhi
King Vikramaditya, a legendary ruler, is said to have built the Hanuman Garhi temple, where Lord Hanuman is believed to have stayed to protect Ayodhya. Inside the main temple is a statue of "Baal Hanuman" on his mother's lap.
