Alternatively, the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station connects to major Indian cities with shared taxis or private cabs to Sikkim. The road journey, though longer, unveils breathtaking vistas. Entry to Sikkim requires obtaining an Inner Line Permit available online or at entry points.
