Now, you can immerse yourself in the vibrant worlds of beloved Studio Ghibli films and come face-to-face with your favourite film characters. The first-ever Studio Ghibli exhibition in Singapore, The World of Studio Ghibli, opened on October 4, 2024, and offers visitors the opportunity to encounter some of their favourite characters from 11 films by the renowned Studio Ghibli. Allow yourself to be spirited away into magical scenes from My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and more. You can learn about the extraordinary characters and stories created by one of the world’s leading animation studios through theatrical sets, interactive art installations, and activities.

What Is Happening

The ArtScience Museum in Singapore is hosting The World of Studio Ghibli exhibition, an extraordinary showcase featuring 11 meticulously designed galleries that vividly bring to life the enchanting world of Studio Ghibli's beloved films. Fans of Ghibli films can immerse yourself in 16 breathtaking theatrical sets, each meticulously handcrafted by talented Japanese artists, capturing iconic scenes from Studio Ghibli films. This remarkable exhibition, presented in collaboration with Studio Ghibli, marks the studio’s debut showcase in Singapore, celebrating the groundbreaking animation, captivating storytelling, and beloved characters that have captivated audiences worldwide for almost four decades.

Take a magical journey through beloved films at the exhibition. Stand under the rain with Totoro and Mei, enjoy a whimsical train ride with No-Face, peek into Kiki’s charming bakery, and explore the enchanting world of Howl’s Moving Castle. Experience the magic with classic theme songs playing throughout the various sets. About Studio Ghibli

Established in Japan in 1985 by directors Isao Takahata and Hayao Miyazaki and producer Toshio Suzuki, Studio Ghibli is a groundbreaking animation studio known for producing some of the most beloved and critically acclaimed animated films.
