Hyatt Unveils Expansion Plans For 2024 Across India & SW Asia

Hyatt Hotels Corporation recently announced robust expansion plans in India and Southwest Asia for 2024, introducing eight new hotels across leisure and business destinations

In a bid to solidify its presence in the landscapes of India and Southwest Asia, Hyatt Hotels Corporation has declared an extensive expansion strategy for 2024. The plan encompasses the launch of eight new hotels across a diverse array of leisure and urban destinations, aiming to surpass 55 hotels within the region's boundaries. This move aligns with the anticipated resurgence of both leisure and business travel throughout the subcontinent.

Hyatt's expansion initiative in 2024 will spotlight the Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt Centric brands, known for their hospitality offerings. Additionally, the company is poised to introduce JdV by Hyatt, its ninth brand in India, signifying a step towards enriching its brand diversity within the country.

Sunjae Sharma, managing director, India & Southwest Asia, Hyatt, talking about the company's expansion plans, said, "Southwest Asia continues to demonstrate high growth potential and is among the top global growth markets for Hyatt. We have robust expansion plans for 2024 across our portfolio, encompassing our legacy brands like Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place and Hyatt Centric across destinations that will strengthen our brand presence in key markets. This expansion represents our strong commitment and confidence in the Southwest Asia region."

The forthcoming additions to Hyatt's portfolio include:

  • Hyatt Regency Kasauli, offering sweeping vistas of the favoured hill station in north India, with 89 rooms and suites and a range of dining and recreational amenities.

  • Hyatt Regency Ghaziabad, strategically located in close proximity to industrial and commercial hubs, featuring 120 keys and expansive event spaces.

  • Hyatt Place Aurangabad, blending modern comforts with the rich cultural heritage of Aurangabad, boasting 150 rooms and a variety of dining options.

  • Hyatt Place Dhaka Uttara, marking Hyatt's debut in Bangladesh with 85 guest rooms and a rooftop infinity pool overlooking the city.

  • Hyatt Place Haridwar, the first international hotel in Haridwar, offering 110 guestrooms and convenient access to local attractions.

  • Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata, a tribute to Kolkata's vibrant culture, presenting 93 meticulously designed guestrooms and immersive dining experiences.

  • Hyatt Centric Hebbal Bengaluru, situated in a burgeoning business hub, featuring 152 rooms, dynamic dining options, and extensive event spaces.

With these upcoming launches, Hyatt's portfolio in India and Southwest Asia will encompass nine distinct brands, showcasing a balanced mix of luxury, lifestyle, and mid-scale offerings.
