Dating back to Crete's illustrious Minoan civilization, renowned for its opulent palaces and enigmatic culture, this labyrinthine building spans an impressive 1,800 square meters (19,000 square feet). Uncovered during recent excavations near Kastelli, where a new airport is set to replace Heraklion's busy hub by 2027, the structure has raised compelling questions about its original purpose.
