Unfolding throughout November, the SpringOUT Pride Festival is Canberra's annual pride celebration event, offering a month-long extravaganza that defines the diversity of this LGBTQIA+-friendly city. The festival has multiple goals: providing a platform for LGBTQIA+ individuals and groups to express their pride, spreading messages of positivity, diversity, and acceptance, and weaving the festival into the cultural and social fabric of Canberra.

More than 40 diverse events comprise the SpringOUT Festival, encompassing everything from cabaret performances and musical showcases to picnics and bush dances. One offering is the 'LGBTQIA+ History Walking Tour,' which unveils the hidden tales of Canberra's Inner North. Participants journey through historic sites where revolutions were ignited, love stories kindled, and pivotal history was etched. This walking tour not only delves into the past but also pays tribute to the unsung heroes who have shaped the city's social landscape.
