Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced a new feature that allows passengers to book bike taxis directly from the official Delhi Metro app, DMRC Momentum (Delhi Sarthi 2.0). This service launched on November 11, 2024, in partnership with First And Last Mile Connectivity India Pvt. Ltd, offers an innovative solution for first- and last-mile connectivity, making it easier and more convenient for commuters to travel within Delhi.

Two Convenient Rides: SHERYDS & RYDR

The bike taxi service features two distinct options:

  • SHERYDS

Designed specifically for women commuters, SHERYDS provides a safe and comfortable travel experience with women riders, who are trained, verified, and offered employment opportunities. This initiative aims to empower women both as passengers and riders. SHERYDS offers electric bikes, GPS tracking, and affordable fares starting at ₹10, with ₹10 per km for the first 2 km and ₹8 per km thereafter.

  • RYDR

Open to all passengers, RYDR ensures efficient and reliable transportation with optimized routes, reducing travel times and ensuring safety. This service operates in parallel with SHERYDS, covering all Delhi Metro passengers with the same focus on convenience.

Empowering Women and Providing Green Solutions

The SHERYDS initiative is designed to address passengers' travel needs and create economic opportunities for women drivers, promoting financial independence and safety. DMRC envisions SHERYDS as an eco-friendly, accessible, and empowering service for women commuters.
