The Surajkund International Crafts Mela is underway, marking its 37th edition as a cultural celebration. Hosted annually in February by the Haryana Tourism Department at Surajkund, this event serves as a unifying platform for India's esteemed artists.

The fair, located at the historical Surajkund, known as the 'Lake of the Sun,' holds significance as an ancient reservoir constructed by King Suraj Pal of the Tomar dynasty in the 10th century. The event is gaining popularity for its diverse attractions, drawing participants from over 20 countries across South Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Timings

Commencing on February 2, the 37th edition will continue until February 18. The daily schedule spans from 10 am to 7:30 pm, providing ample time for visitors to explore various activities. Entry to the venue closes after the designated time or earlier at the organisers' discretion.

Tickets

Ticket prices for the fair start at INR 120, offering access to various attractions for individuals of all ages. Each ticket allows a single entry. Children aged three and above require entry tickets, and re-entry is prohibited. Book your tickets here.

During weekends, specifically on Saturday and Sunday, the ticket costs INR 180. School and college students are eligible for a 50 per cent discount on weekday entry tickets, provided they show a valid ID card during the purchase.

It is essential to be aware that all ticket sales are final, as they cannot be exchanged, refunded, or cancelled. Entry to the venue is contingent upon passing a security check, emphasising a safe and secure environment. Discounted tickets for specific categories, such as especially-abled, student, and senior citizen tickets, are exclusively available at on-ground ticket counters, requiring valid proof of eligibility.

Visitors are advised against carrying large bags or prohibited items, including smoking materials and food & beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). The prohibition extends to both cooked and uncooked items, packed or unpacked.
