World's First Fully Vaccinated Flight Departs from Qatar

Qatar Airways just became the first airline to operate a fully vaccinated flight. The QR 6421 airplane took off from Hamad International Airport with vaccinated passengers and cabin crew on board. 

The crew members on board showcased high standards of safety and hygiene with Zero Touch inflight entertainment technology. 

The airline has also become the first airways from&nbspthe Middle East region to have begun the trial of the new IATA Travel Pass Digital Passport mobile app.

The world&rsquos first COVID-19 safe flight used a special airplane -  the Airbus A350-1000. The Airbus was designed for the Carbon Offset Environment Sustainability Programme initiated by the airlines. 

According to reports, the flight carried 144 vaccinated passengers and 18 crew members.

In a statement, the Chief Executive of Qatar Airways Group said that the special flight demonstrates the next stage in the recovery of international travel is not far away. &ldquoAs the vaccine rollout begins to gather pace worldwide, Qatar Airways remains committed to being the airline passengers and travel partners can rely on, operating one of the largest global networks to provide the connectivity needed to reunite families and friends and support global trade," he added.
