Finnish company Rovio Entertainment, the creator of the Angry Birds brand, now expands its appeal beyond games, television shows and movies, with the opening of a theme park in Doha, the capital of Qatar, in collaboration with Trimoo.
Housed in the Doha Festival City, the Angry Birds World entertainment park, the first of its kind, covers 17,000 square metres, including an indoor space of 6,500 square metres. The park has over 20 attractions inspired by the popular digital game that promise to take visitors on a rollicking adventure with the colourful birds for company.

Visitors can engage in the 'Epic Battle' with a fun-filled laser tag game of cannons. The 'Raft Battle' simulates the journey that the birds take from Bird Island to Piggy Island in the movie. The rafts are armed with manually operated water blaster guns. Younger visitors will love flying with the fun-loving triplets, The Blues, on a swooping, gliding roundabout attraction.
Thrill seekers will enjoy the 'Blast Bomb', a drop and twist tower that features free-fall motion from a height of 11 metres while 'Red Alert' will hurl you into an exhilarating 360-degree spin. One can also test one's physical strength with 'Fierce Flight', a ropes course challenge.
And the park is not only about thrills. 'The Big Tree' offers both children and adults an edutainment experience using science, music and art. The Tree also houses 'Own the Sky', a 106-metre zip line that allows participants to cut through the air at rip-roaring speeds.
