OT Staff

The pilgrimage site of Vaishno Devi had opened its doors for visitors and devotees on August 16 with a daily restriction of only 100 people. Almost three weeks after its reopening, the shrine&rsquos management board has increased the daily cap to 500.

The shrine, located atop Trikuta hills, had reopened on August 16 after a lockdown of nearly five months as the country was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

All accommodation for visitors at Bhawan, Katra, Adhkuwari, and Jammu have also been opened. Special services like battery-operated vehicles, helicopter services, passenger ropeways, and all other supplementary facilities have been resumed and are operating under required SOP guidelines.

Those who want to visit will have to register online. Children below 10 years, pregnant women, senior citizens and those with any ailments have been advised not to undertake the pilgrimage.
