Take A Train From Pune To Udaipur This Summer

Dear Pune rail peeps, if Udaipur is your summer holiday destination, boy do we have good news for you. 

Over the years, the number of people travelling to Udaipur from Pune has been increasing and the only way to get to the city of lakes has been a) flying via Delhi. Mumbai or Ahmedabad b) take a long road journey or c) mix it up between the two options. Now, for a railhead in Pune (or Udaipur who wants to visit Pune), there's a special train just for you. 

The Indian Railway authorities have introduced a &lsquoSpecial Summer Train&rsquo, a direct train from Pune to Udaipur and vice versa as a solution of easing traffic on the roads and increasing comfort for the travellers. 

This &lsquoSpecial Summer Train&rsquo will commence from the April 9, 2019 and will leave Udaipur every week until June 25, 2019. The train will leave from Udaipur every Tuesday at 1110 hours. and from Pune every Thursday at 0025 hours with the estimated time taken to travel between the two cities about 24 hours.

The train will travel through Rana Pratap Nagar, Mavli, Chittorgarh, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vasai Road, Kalyan and Lonavala stations.&nbspThe train will have one second AC compartment, two third AC's, nine second class sleeper coaches, four general coaches, and two guard coaches.
