Do you like the hills Do you like train rides Will, you are in luck. This December, you can take a train to Nepal then
The Indian Railways have announced a first passenger train between India and Nepal from this December. The train is set to run from Jayanagar St in Bihar to Kurtha in Dhanusha in southeastern Nepal. With so much of natural beauty to offer tourists, from the gorgeous Himalaya range to Phewa lake, Nepal is breathtakingly beautiful. The best part about visiting Nepal from India, or vice versa, is the fact that one doesn't require a visa. Just any government ID proof works to cross the border.
However, an immigration check-post will likely be at the Jayanagar St and an official from the Bureau of Immigration is stated to be there. Tickets for the train journey can be bought through an unreserved ticketing system and the passenger reservation system in Nepal.
But, if December is too far away for you, check out the recently launched Dehradun-Nepal bus service or just take a flight to Kathmandu with many carriers plying between the countries. But do remember not to carry Indian notes above the denomination of Rs 100 as the Nepalese government has banned higher ones.
The rich Himalayan nation awaits you, so what are you waiting for
