In Mumbai Hit Up this Italian Restaurant to Celebrate Thanksgiving

A six section special menu, burrata bar, floating Italian tapas menu are some of the highlights of the Thanksgiving celebrations

Thanksgiving, a harvest festival in the United States and Canada, has now become widely popular across the globe. Sorrentina, the Italian restaurant at Foodhall@Linking Road in Mumbai too has joined the bandwagon with specially curated meals and live music.

The restaurant is offering a six-section special menu until November 25, followed by a day-long celebration on November 26. The menu is a collaboration between Sorrentina&rsquos Chef Aabhas Mehrotra and Chef Nariman Abdygapparov and Chef Anushka Malkhani of Whisk with Us. The spread includes a contemporary Italian tapas menu along&nbspwith family-style bakes and mains.

Enjoy cold small plates like Caesar In Rome &ndash a deconstructed Caesar Salad, Pumpkin Burrata - burrata with herby leche de tigre, roasted pumpkin and crispy pumpkin seed Brittle and Tomato Carpaccio - Seasonal tomato carpaccio with strawberries and Hot Plates like Whoa Bambolini - Savory Bomboloni with crispy eggplant, red pesto and mozzarella, In Love with Potato - Layered patatas bravas with smoked paprika and Flora Fritters - Stuffed zucchini flowers with herbal dip.

There will be fresh handmade Pastas including Post Monsoon Linguine - Crab linguini pasta with parsley and tomatoes and Mugello Ravioli - Mezzelune Ravioli with artichoke-potato filling, pecorino and thyme. Mains include Milanese &ndash Buff a la Milanese with rustic potatoes, Savoury Crepes - Crespelle alla Fiorentina with ricotta, spinach, sour cream and seasonal veggies, to name a few.

And you cannot forget the desserts &ndash Tomato Crunch - a mimic tomato filled with vanilla mousse, tomato and raspberry jam and basil crunch, Mongers Cheesecake - creamy cheese mousse shaped in a form of cheese and Sicilian Cannoli &ndash a Sicilian pistachio and chocolate cannoli.

Highlights from the day-long celebration on November 26 include the Burrata Bar serving hand-filled burratas, a travelling Prosecco trolley Bar, a live Turkey station serving roasted Turkey, cranberry jus and roasted veggies, a floating Italian tapas menu, an  Italian Dessert Garden and of course an evening of live music.

The restaurant opens at noon. The specially curated meal is pegged at Rs 2500 plus tax (without alcohol) and at Rs 3500 plus tax (with alcohol). Charges are on per head basis.
