Want to do something different this summer Why not plan a trip to Mongolia Landlocked by China and Russia, it is one of the most sparsely populated countries in the world. Famous for its rugged landscape, wildlife and nomadic culture, Mongolia was the stuff of explorers&rsquo dreams for a long time. But unknown to most travellers, Mongolia is not quite the back of beyond that it once was. So journey into the heartland of Mongolia this summer for an exclusive and luxurious camp stay.

What

An exclusive summer adventure and equestrian camp organised for a limited period by The Pavilions Mongolia (part of the Pavilions and Resorts), in collaboration with the Genghis Khan Retreat. The camp offers an all-inclusive luxury stay. Daily all-inclusive rates start from USD$600 per adult, under USD$350 per night for those under 18 years and USD$150 per night for those between three and seven years.

Where

The summer camp is located nearly 360 km and five to six hours&rsquo drive west of the Mongolian capital, Ulan Bator.  Located atop Mongke Tengri Hill in Orkhon Valley National Park (part of UNESCO World Heritage List), the camp is surrounded by natural wonders, historical sites including the Karakorum, the first capital of the Mongol empire and the memorial site of the Turkish Khanate. The camp organises pick up from Chinggis Khaan International Airport or from capital Ulan Bator on separate payment. The airport is connected to major Asian capitals and a few European destinations.

When

This exclusive camp will operate between June 15 and September 19, 2019.

About the all-inclusive package

The all-inclusive daily package includes stay, all meals, daily activities including horseback riding, kayaking, hiking, area guided tours, yoga classes and massage treatments.

The camp consists of spacious, ornately-painted Gers with traditional Mongolian interiors and cashmere bedding. In addition to the camping toilets inside the Gers, the camp also includes a number of external toilet facilities. All water is pumped from a well and heated by a wood fire. The camp includes a tech Ger with solar-batteries to charge phones/laptops/cameras. Meals include breakfast, lunch and dinner and beverages such as soft drinks, tea/coffee, and house wines and beers during evening meals.
