Travel In Trains With New Glass-Top Coaches

If you love travelling via trains and enjoy the view outside then here&rsquos some great news for you. The Indian Railways is introducing new&nbspvistadome compartments in a few of the trains passing through the marvellous surroundings of Northeast of India to increase tourist flow in the area. The Northeast is home to some of the most splendid mountain ranges of the country portraying the tranquillity of the places. Now you can explore those stunning valleys through the glass top view

The rail routes of the Northeast Frontier railway were selected on the basis of their natural grandeur. Some of the routes considered under this plan are Kumarghat to Agartala, Lumding to Badarpur and some parts of upper Assam. With the capacity to host about 40 passengers, the ticket rates would vary a little from the normal coach. The iconic Darjeeling Himalayan railway has already hit the tracks with those coaches, embarking a new outlook towards the stretch. 

Earlier the Kalka- Shimla toy train was installed with a glass roof coach to promote tourism. The rail route experiences snowfall and it would be magical to witness them as the train chugs along the mountains.
