From being called the &lsquooriginal rock star&rsquo of the culinary world (Smithsonian Magazine) to &lsquothe culinary bad boy&rsquo (Gothamist), and other appellations before, after and in between, Anthony Bourdain remains an enigma even after his death.

The American celebrity chef, author, and travel documentarian is said to have committed suicide in 2018, at the age of 61.

Bourdain, who grabbed global attention with his bestselling book &lsquoKitchen Confidential Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly&rsquo, published in 2000, was roped in by American cable channel Food Network for a food and travel show called &lsquoA Cook&rsquos Tour&rsquo. First aired through 2002 and 2003, Bourdain travelled to known and exotic destinations, presenting their food and culture. He dined with Geishas in Japan, tried Cobra Hearts and other food that &lsquomake you manly&rsquo in Vietnam, attended a Portuguese slaughtering and roasting party, enlivened Kansas City, Houston, and North Carolina as The BBQ Triangle of the US, etc.
