Those fascinated by scenic and luxury rail routes would know all about the Orient Express train running its course from Paris to Istanbul. However, the iconic train stopped operations back in 1977. But come 2023 travellers will have a chance to be on the revamped version of the train as the luxury train is all set to be back on the tracks.

Six different trains and travel itineraries are on offer on board the Orient Express La Dolce Vita, giving a chance to travellers to discover 14 regions &mdash think Italy, Paris, Istanbul etc. Travellers can choose to spend one to three nights and be on any of the six routes throughout the journey. The trips are leisurely placed throughout Italy wherein travellers can experience the Alps, offbeat track routes and the art and culture scene in Milan and Venice amidst other cities. The Italian itineraries range between one and three nights. The luxury train can accommodate 62 passengers with rooms in the form of deluxe cabins and suites. These six trains will have 12 deluxe cabins, 18 suites and one honour suite and a restaurant.

Along with retaining the old world charm in the form of terracotta paint pops, tongue-and-groove ceilings, the new train will also spot mid-century interiors that draw inspiration from the 1960s and 1970s. Aimed at encouraging new age travellers to take take on the journey, the train &mdash named La Dolce Vita &mdash is a tribute to the period of art and glamour in Italy during the late 1960s. As for the culinary offerings on board there will be exotic recipes prepared by Italian chefs along with award-winning Italian wine for travellers.

As for the pricing, the journey is for people with deep pockets, costing about $2262 per person per night. Additionally, the first Orient Express hotel &mdash Minerva &mdash is also scheduled to open in Rome in 2024.
