Odisha Launches Special Road Trip Packages for Kolkata Tourists

In a bid to boost tourism amidst the ongoing pandemic, Odisha and West Bengal have joined hands to launch three road trip packages between its key destinations

The Odisha government launched the packages between Kolkata and its key destinations. Odisha which receives 14 percent of its tourists from West Bengal, is rich in spiritual, cultural and craft tourism.

The first road trip circuit will consist of a 4-nights-5-days package to cover destinations such as Bichitrapur Sanctuary, the Talasari Beach,Chandipur&rsquos receding beach in Balasore district, the Aul Palace and Bhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapada district. This trip will take you deep into the mangroves with scenic beauties of the national parks that&rsquos not to be missed. 

The second trip, The Trail of Cascades, is a 500km road trip consisting of a 3-nights-4-days package, and includes a visit to Bhimkund Waterfall, Sitabinji Caves&rsquo fresco paintings and a visit to the village at Ghatagaon famous for its terracotta crafts. Famous attractions also include the Gundichaghai and Sanaghagara waterfalls and the Badaghagara and Kanjipani ghats. 

The third road trip circuit is of 3-nights-4-days taking visitors to the tiger trails. The 470km journey will take visitors to Similipal, the stunning Belgadia Palace of the Bhanja dynasty, the Similipal Tiger Reserve, the Sitakund Waterfall and also a tour of the famous ecotourism zone, Barehipani, home to the second largest waterfall of India.
