Brace yourself because robots may be taking over the world, sooner than you imagined. On your next trip to Japan, you could be dining on ramen bowls and having a conversation with your tour guide, only he&rsquoll be a mini-robot instead of a human.

As per reports, a humanoid mini-robot by the name of Robohon will work as a tour guide as part of a new service in Kyoto, which will commence starting September 2019.

This is a new service that is being offered by city taxis, as a joint initiative by the robot&rsquos creator, Sharp, taxi operator MK and JTB travel agency. With the help of this service, the mini robot will act as a guide to travellers and show them around the city. The robot will be able to communicate in Japanese, Chinese and English with passengers and not only acquaint travellers with the city from the taxi, but also take them around the local sights on foot.

The robot, Robohon, is said to weigh 390 grams and be 19.5cm tall. If you thought sightseeing was boring, here&rsquos something that will change your mind for sure. When is your next trip to Japan again
