As a part of the &ldquoCode4Munnar&rdquo project, the mobile app VIBGYOR has been officially launched to help tourists and travellers keen on exploring Munnar.
The app, established within a period of three days for a hackathon, will now guide tourists the moment they step foot into Munnar with suggestions for cost-effective accommodation, hospitals, latest tourist hotspots and other facilities. All they need to do is scan a QR code.
VIBGYOR has been designed to promote tourism on an international level in Munnar. And Code4Munnar is ready to pave the way for tourists in association with DTPC and the Kites Foundation NGO.
If you are driving down, the app will also provide seven main routes that connect the outside world to Munnar. The routes are connected through Munnar-Koviloor-Vattavada, Munnar-Eravikulam National Park-Mayoor, Munnar-Suryanelli-Kolukkumala,Munnar-Anachal-Adimali, Munnar-Mankulam, Munnar-Mattuppetty and Munnar Town-Old Munnar-CSI Church.
Interested in exploring the natural world The app will also provide details of the natural world in Munnar, like the neelakurinji flower which blooms once in 12 years on the hill ranges of Munnar in Idukki district, and the Nilgiri Tahrs.
