You Can Now Own Anthony Bourdain's Prized Knife

You now have an opportunity to purchase renowned chef Anthony Bourdain's personal belongings. The late chef&rsquos personal possessions will be up for auction next month.

The exhibition goes up for an online preview beginning October 2. Apart from that three concurrent exhibitions of select items will run from October 9-30. A selection of highlights will be on view in three cities, including New York.

The auction will showcase nearly 200 items that Anthony Bourdain personally acquired during the course of his life. The exhibition will include some of his most valued possessions such as artwork, books, home and decorative furnishings, knives, and wrist watches among other items.

The most expensive item on the auction list includes the custom Bob Kramer steel and meteorite chef&rsquos knife which has been estimated at $4,000&ndash$6,000.

Some of items for auction include the Brad Phillips (Canadian), Cristine and Me as Still-Life, oil on canvas, 2016 estimated at $2,000&ndash$4,000, Peter Lovig Nielsen teak flip-top desk, Denmark, 20th century estimated at $800&ndash$1,200, a Vietnamese blue-and-white ceramic tall bottle form vase with cover estimated at  $250-$450 and the original typed manuscript or early draft for A Bone in the Throat by Bourdain which has been estimated at $700&ndash$1,000.

The proceeds from the auction will be handed over to Bourdain family and also will be contributed to the scholarship fund of Culinary Institute of America (CIA). 40% of the donations from the sale will be contributed to CIA, Bourdain&rsquos alma mater. The scholarship supports students who are interested in pursuing a semester abroad during their regular studies or those who want to participate in an international culinary program.
