OT Staff

Everything Korean is the flavour of the season - from K pop to fashion to K dramas, and of course, the beauty products. Then there's Korean food which is also becoming a thing (think mukbang, South Korean live-streaming shows where hosts eat their way through - a lot of - food).

This February, Foodhall celebrates the flavours of Korea through its &lsquoHeart & Seoul Festival&rsquo. Explore, indulge, and recreate the flavours of this cuisine with authentic ingredients and a special menu at their cafes. Keeping the notions of Korean traditions in mind, Foodhall is hosting a feasting extravaganza, commemorating all things Korean. If you wish to experience street food as if you were walking in a Korean market, you can pick up tubs of gochujang (a fermented chilli paste with sweet and savoury notes), gochujang mayo, Korean barbecue, as well as their house fermented kimchi. Along with this, a variety of Korean baked goods are available for purchase such as their chef special Kimchi Croissant, Korean Sausage Bun and Matcha Marble Cake.

The Café by Foodhall will be also serving authentic Korean favourites&nbspthrough its&nbspSeoul Food menu, allowing you to eat your way through the land of BTS, Squid Game and Parasite, one delicious bite of kimchi and a lick of gochujang at a time.

Here are some recommendations Pig out on Barbecue Korean Flatbread (mushrooms in barbeque sauce, homemade kimchi, gochujang tomato sauce, sliced onions, mozzarella, scalions, cilantro), a Klassic Pajeon (a savoury Korean pancake stuffed with zucchini, carrots and scallions and served with ssamjang sauce), and Kimchi-fied Avocado Toast (made of sourdough with gochujang, topped with kimchi and tahini avocado and garnished with toasted sesame and microgreens).

A must try is the fiery ramyun called The Nongshim Ramyum&nbspoffering ramen noodles stirred up with shitake, tofu, pak choi, scallions, fried garlic, toasted sesame and sesame oil, and a customer favourite The Bulgogi Bowl made of Korean sticky rice, crispy bulgogi sweet potato, spinach, kimchi, scallions, gochujang, toasted sesame seeds and sesame oil with kimchi and ssamjang.
