The place celebrated a decade in existence in 2020, and now the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) has launched a virtual tour of a celebratory exhibition, &lsquoNarrating from the Museum Archives and Collection 10 years of KNMA&rsquo.

KNMA continues to encourage its audience to remain in the safety of their homes also ensuring that art and culture is accessible to all.

Located in the heart of India&rsquos capital city, the non-commercial, not-for-profit organisation opened its doors to exemplify the dynamic relationship between art and culture through its exhibitions, publications, educational, and public programmes.

The extravagant exhibition which began in January 2020 was unfortunately cut short due to the global pandemic. Since then, the museum has been focusing on enhancing its online offerings.

The virtual tour of &lsquoNarrating from the Museum Archives and Collection 10 years of KNMA&rsquo is available online for viewers across all KNMA digital platforms.

The virtual tour offers a 3D walkthrough of the museums where one can view artworks of renowned artists like MF Husain, Ranbir Kaleka, Akbar Padamsee, J Sultan Ali, VS Gaitonde, Ida Kar, Ram Kumar, Surendran Nair, FN Souza, Krishen Khanna, Tyeb Mehta, KP Krishnakumar, Jitish Kallat, SH Raza, Himmat Shah and many more.

It&rsquos an alternative opportunity to immerse yourselves in an almost lifelike 360 degree panoramic experience of the museum using navigation tools that allow you to explore the artworks. The exhibition is a snapshot of KNMA&rsquos archives collected over the course of ten years by founder and chairperson, Kiran Nadar.

Her contribution to the art world has provided a platform to recognise talented artists by allowing them to access larger audiences and build appreciation for their artworks within India and abroad. The digital expansion has helped new and diverse audiences to catch a glimpse into the world of art.

Established in January 2010, KNMA was initiated by the avid art collector Kiran Nadar.

The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art became the first private museum of art exhibiting contemporary and modern works from India and the sub-continent.

The ever-growing collection of KNMA is largely fixated on significant trajectories. Its core collection highlights a magnificent generation of Indian painters from the 20th century&rsquos post-independent decades while it equally engages with different art practices of the younger contemporaries.
