Karnataka will soon have a total of 33 forest trails by the end of the year, and if you are a seeker of adventures, these might just be the best place to visit. The Forest Department of the state has discovered 26 new trails and pitched them to the Eco-Tourism Development board. These paths are said to offer a blend of pilgrimage spots and vibrant forests, that will let you discover ancient temples as well as explore the diverse flora and fauna of the region.

In the spirit of the Karnataka Tourism theme this year &ldquoScript your Adventure&rdquo, these eco-trails are being recognised with the hope of boosting tourism in the state just as they did a few years ago. In 2017, the board opened 7 trails that are now some of the most popular attractions of the state. While Skandagiri and Makalidurga make the perfect escapes from the hustle of the Silicon Valley, Devarayanadurga, Siddarabetta and Avalabetta let you witness the rich cultural heritage, some surrounded by forts and dotted with old temples. Savanadurga and Bidarakatte however, cater to the lovers of nature who cherish the peace of the quiet hills.

The diverse nature of these already existing eco-trails and the exuberance of the newly discovered trails may just make Karnataka the best option for a year-end vacation.
