Welcomhotel Tavleen Chail in Himachal Pradesh is the latest property to be opened by ITC Hotels under its Welcomhotel brand. ITC Hotels, part of ITC Limited group of companies, recently announced that it is planning to add new hotels under its Welcomhotel brand, a beacon of hope for the beleaguered hospitality and travel industry.

According to the company, the expansion plan is based on an uptick in domestic tourism. With international borders still not open for India and other travel-related regulations, there has been a rise in people&rsquos interest to explore Indian destinations.

According to latest reports, the Welcomhotel brand is expecting to expand its number of hotels to 25 from 19 within a year.

Perched on a hilltop, Chail is a secluded retreat, about 45 km from Shimla. Welcomhotel Tavleen Chail is located on the Kandaghat-Chail-Kufri Road. The 65-key hotel, spread over 6.5 acres of woodland, within forests of oak and pine, consists of rooms, suites and cottages two food and beverage outlets as well two banqueting and meeting venues. The WelcomCafe Monal is an all-day dining restaurant while Swizzle is the bar. On the top floor is a glass-lined Observatory for guests. The hotel has carved out an Oak Trail and a Pine Trail within the property which guests can explore. It is also a pet friendly hotel.

Despite the pandemic related chaos last year, ITC hotels opened Welcomhotel Shimla in December, the brand&rsquos first in Himachal Pradesh. The hotel is tucked away in the serene hills of Mashobra, on the outskirts of Shimla. It has also relaunched Welcomhotel Ahmedabad and Welcomhotel Port Blair. Hotels expected to be opened soon are Welcomhotel Bhubaneswar and Welcomhotel Guntur.
