Hailed as the 'Heart of India', Madhya Pradesh is known for its many tourist attractions. From Khajuraho's intricate sculptures to the wildlife at Bandhavgarh, there is much to explore in this historically and culturally prosperous state. It is among one of the most frequented states by tourists. And now, to make it easier for tourists to access information, the state government has developed a digital initiative to acquaint them with the state's glorious past in a tech-savvy manner.

The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, on May 18, which is also marked as International Museum Day, launched a QR-based audio guide to help tourists learn about the state's rich heritage and culture. This new initiative, launched in seven museums across different cities, connects the state's history with technology. The information from the audio guide will be available in both Hindi and English.

Confirming the development MP Tourism Principal Secretary Sheo Shekhar Shukla said the QRs have been strategically installed at places with no tourist guides. He added that the initiative does not hamper the scope of employment in any capacity. "The only purpose of this initiative is to make it easier for tourists to access information," Shukla said.

The Information

These museums have QR-based audio guides

The information about Madhya Pradesh's rich cultural and historical heritage is now available in audio form at Bhopal's State Museum and Tribal Museum, Lalbagh Palace of Indore, Gujri Mahal Archaeological Museum of Gwalior, Maharaj Chhatrasal Museum of Dhubela, and Ujjain's Observatory Triveni Museum.

How does the QR code work

Once the tourists have reached the museums mentioned above, they must scan the QR code on their mobile phones. After that, they will get complete information about the museum through an audio guide.

Download this app to get QR Code access

Once the tourists reach these museums, they must download the Sago Buddy App from Google Play Store. The app provides audio information, GPS information, QR code, and image search. What makes the experience worthwhile is the availability of different languages in the software, aligning with passengers' needs, interests and ages.
