If latest reports are to be believed, the Health Protection Agency of Maldives has only put travel restrictions on select places. These include the islands which are inhabited by Maldivians.

Indian travellers are still allowed to visit those island resorts of Maldives which are not home to the local population. Only those hotels and resorts which are located in the inhabited islands of Maldives will remain closed for tourists.

The standalone islands and the hotels and resorts they house are still open and ready to welcome guests from India.

However, they will have to produce a negative report of an RT-PCR test conducted within a maximum of 96 hours before their departure for Maldives. Tourists will also have to undergo an RT-PCR test 72 hours before leaving back for India.
