When in Minnesota, do as the Indians do

Move over travelling the world in a sari&mdashinfluencers are now wearing them to ski.

If you were to go skiing, I believe you would go looking for your snow boots and ski pants and fleece jackets. But Divya Maiya and partner Madhu Bangalore went a step ahead&mdashin their viral video where they ski down a slope, the couple can be seen donning traditional Indian wear While Divya is seen draped in a turquoise blue saree with a gold border, Madhu sports a matching silk shirt with a white veshti

The short clip shows the couple straighten out their outfits a bit and adjust their helmets before launching into the joyride, gently swaying with their outfits fluttering against the frosty backdrop. Be it showcasing their roots or overcoming the outfit limitations associated with the sport, the couple does it with aplomb. The video was shot at the Welch Village resort in Minnesota, USA.

The clip is posted on the Instagram page of Divya, an influencer and blogger who often posts fun clips and dance videos apart from being a cultural diversity champion. She and Madhu also recently started a YouTube channel for their ongoing road trip series called 10 States in 10 Days.
