Sabarimala Makes Negative COVID-19 Test Report Mandatory for Uthram

The Sabarimala Temple opened its doors to devotees in the wake of the auspicious Uthram festival this week, with a caveat. Devotees visiting the temple must present a COVID-19 negative certificate. The temple will be open to devotees until March 28.

Kerala recorded 1,899 new COVID-19 infections and 15 related deaths last week, bringing the total to 10.98 lakh and the death toll to 4,450.

COVID-19 tests are gradually turning out to be necesssary if you want to get entry into several public spaces, festivals, hotels, or to travel on trains and airlanes, etc. Recently, hotels in Udaipur made a test report mandatory.

State Health Minister KK Shailaja shared that there have been 54,314 tested samples in the last 24 hours, with a positivity rate of 3.5%.
