Iceland's Wow Air Goes Kaput

Iceland's Wow Air ceased all operations abruptly. Here's what to do if you are a stranded Wow passenger

OT Staff
This has come quite abruptly for travellers flying Iceland's Wow Air as the budget airline announced the termination of all its operations on March 27. The airline's sudden move has no doubt left all its passengers stranded around the world, without any other flight options or any confirmation on the compensation. If you are one of the Wow passengers scheduled to fly between March 27 and April 11, Ireland's Aer Lingus has special rescue fares. For those scheduled to fly after April 12, the airline is offering "value fares". For Wow passengers who bought their tickets with a credit card or had gotten a travel insurance, the airline may give some compensation. For any queries, assistance or concerns regarding refund, passengers can contact the airline's customer support. Passengers who booked their Wow Air flights using Hopper app will get refunds and also bear the cost of re-booking of flights.
