If wildlife is your forte and watching animals from a distance is what you wish for, then you may want to add this adventurous safari in one of the Indian tiger reserves on your future travel list.

Recognised as the 'Tiger State' of India, Madhya Pradesh has launched India&rsquos first hot air balloon safari in its famous Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve located in Umaria district.

State Foreign Minister Vijay Shah inaugurated the service by comparing it to the safari activities in Africa&rsquos forests, and ensured that more such services will be introduced in Pench, Kanha and Panna tiger reserves.

The hot air balloon safari will allow tourists and wildlife enthusiasts to enjoy aerial views of magnificent tigers and leopards roaming with other wild animals in the reserve.

The service will be organised by Jaipur-based Sky Waltz which is India&rsquos first fully government-sanctioned and licensed commercial hot air balloon operator.

Madhya Pradesh has witnessed a consistent rise in its tiger population. According to the Tiger Census report 2019, the state topped the survey with total 526 tigers compared to 308 tigers in 2014. It took over Karnataka which enjoyed the title of Tiger State in previous years.
