OT Staff

Earlier on April 18, the Hong Kong government passed a decree to suspend all Vistara flights from Mumbai to Hong Kong till May 2.

After 50 passengers from two Vistara flights tested positive for COVID-19 on arrival this month, the Hong Kong government has decided to ban all flights from India.

Hong Kong has also adjourned all connecting flights routing from India from April 20 to May 3 as India is currently experiencing a second wave and has reported around 2 lakh cases in a single day.

The Hong Kong government has also suspended flights to and from Pakistan and the Philippines from April 20 to May 3.

The rules to enter Honk Kong require all passengers to have a negative RT-PCR result for COVID-19 conducted 72 hours prior to the journey.

On Sunday, three of Vistara's Mumbai-Hong Kong flight passengers had tested positive for COVID-19 on arrival.
