Towering over the rest of the western hemisphere, the Hudson Yards observation deck is all set to open its gates to the public in March 2020. The observation deck has officially been named &ldquoEdge&rdquo, and will be the highest outdoor deck in the western hemisphere atop the fifth tallest building in the world.
The triangular platform sits atop the 1,131 feet skyscraper in Manhattan&rsquos Hudson Yards neighbourhood. A sixty second elevator ride to the observation deck will give the visitors a splendid view of the Hudson River and the majestic New York City skyline. The 7,500 square feet deck extends out to 80 feet on the 100th floor of the tower, which might just make some dizzy. Although there are still a few months to go for the grand opening, entry tickets are up on the Edge website. For the price of just 36$, you can be on top of the world, albeit only in the western hemisphere. Online tickets for adults are 36$ and on site will be 38$, tickets for children between the ages of 6-12 are 31$ online and 33$ on site. Special prices are available for senior citizens, active and retired members of the US military and New York City residents.
Cheap tickets, a champagne bar and breathtaking views give the Hudson Yards observation deck a certain &lsquoedge&rsquo over the other skyscrapers in the US. The Empire State Building&rsquos outdoor observation deck is only 1,050 feet high and the prices are significantly higher than The Edge. The Edge might be the highest outdoor observatory in the western hemisphere but it still falls a staggering 700 feet short of the world&rsquos highest in Burj Khalifa.
