Harajuku Tokyo Caf Opens Second Outlet in Gurugram

Bringing the colours and culture of Harajuku, a lifestyle district popular with Tokyos teenagers and young adult, to the NCR is this kawaii caf and its delightful range of Japanese treats.

The first thing that strikes you as you enter Harajuku Tokyo Café, tucked inside Ambience Mall in Gurugram (Gurgaon), NCR, is the elegant d&eacutecor. This recently opened quaint café is the Japan-inspired QSR brand&rsquos second outlet. The first outlet is located in Select CityWalk, Saket.

The new outlet in Gurgaon spreads across 2,400 square feet and seats around 50 guests. While snatches of neon lighting and handmade terrazzo flooring create a cheerful mood, sakura trees, murals, mangas and a claw machine take you down the famous Harajuku Street of Tokyo.

Harajuku in Tokyo is the centre of Japan's most vibrant teenage culture and fashion styles, which also offers plenty of shopping opportunities.

Harajuku Tokyo Café specialises in a range of gastronomical delights from the streets of Japan, from savouries and breads to soft and fluffy pancakes and Japanese cheesecakes from bento bowls and ramen to boba tea &ndash all handcrafted by Japanese chefs. The new outlet features an upgraded menu with numerous additions like shrimp dynamite, gyoza ramen, Lotus biscoff pancakes, mochi donuts, new boba tea flavours etc. There is also a live baking station.

Take your pick from freshly baked Japanese Jiggly Cheesecake, exclusively-crafted Japanese desserts and breads, and made-on-order street food such as takoyaki, chicken karaage and the twelve-inch-long Japanese fries fun desserts such as taiyaki, and the popular Harajuku crepes or ramen, chahan, and sushi among others.

Founded by Gaurav Kanwar and led by restaurateur Anshuman Malik, the brand has plans to branch out to other Indian cities in the next couple of years.
