Greece wants More Indians to Visit the Country

The country's national tourism body participated in the South Asian Travel and Tourism Exhibition to reconnect with the Indian travel market

Over the years India and Greece have developed a warm relation&nbspwith each other and to strengthen this bond the Greek National&nbspTourism Organization participated in the first-ever virtual version of&nbspSouth Asia's travel and tourism exhibition, SATTEGenX, which was
held between October 5-6, 2020 with an objective to re-establish its connections with the travel trade fraternity in India and cajole Indians to visit Greece.

GNTO wants to capitalise on the opportunity to ensure that the health and safety of its visitors is undoubtedly the priority of the tourism board.

&ldquoIndia is one of the emerging markets of high quality and importance on an international level and it is one of the strategic goals of Greek Tourism to enter this market dynamically in the next 3 years," said Harry Theoharis, the Greek Minister of Tourism. "Already, before the pandemic started, we were in close cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism of India, the first goal being to establish a direct air flight connection."

The federation of Hellenic associations of travel and tourist agencies, is the nationwide representative of the entire travel agency sector in the relevant national, European and international organization. fedHATTA represents around 2,500 travel agencies across Greece. The organization pursues the development and promotion of Greek tourism and contributes to the effort of the country, for the expansion of tourism services.
