Game of Thrones is one of the most popular series to have ever graced the world of television. With the shooting of the final season completed, HBO has announced it plans to celebrate the show&rsquos legacy by converting several filming locations into tourist attractions. On this list includes locations such as the iconic Winterfell (House of Starks) and Castle Black (headquarters of the Night's Watch). HBO has further promised more formal studio tours.

The sites will include film sets as well as displays of costumes, props, weapons, set decorations, art files, models and other production materials. In addition to this, fans can also expect interactive experiences. Stars including Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner and Natalie Dormer have been filming at these locations for nearly 10 years.

The inspiration to make its sets public comes from the globally renowned movie series The Lord of the Rings, which was shot at various scenic locations across New Zealand. The channel, HBO, is thrilled to celebrate the work of the Game of Thrones creative team and has ensured the preservation of these locations.

The final season of Game of Thrones is all set to release in 2019. Dates for the show are yet to be revealed.
