Travelling from the UAE just became easier for some with the recent code sharing agreement between Etihad and Abu Dhabi&rsquos budget airlines Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Since Thursday, July 9, all flights of Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will bear the &lsquoEY&rsquo code of Etihad which will be visible on the former&rsquos maiden flight from the UAE capital to the Egyptian city of Alexandria on July 14. This will be followed by its next flight to Sohag on the following day.

The code sharing deal will now make flyers eligible for a number of facilities and benefits. The agreement enables travellers to book Etihad flights in conjunction with Air Arabia Abu Dhabi services by connecting its global route network beyond Abu Dhabi itself to new airline&rsquos routes. Etihad also plans to add further codeshare destinations as more Air Arabia Abu Dhabi destinations are announced.

The new budget airline is all set to connect a large number of cities and international destinations. Thus the pact would allow a wider spectrum of travellers to use these benefits and have a secure travel option. The Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will commence operations with two Airbus A320 aircrafts based in the Abu Dhabi airport.
