Dubai just got an app that will allow visitors and tourists to ensure safe travel. According to reports, Epic Reality was launched by a UAE-based company that would be a safety app acting as a guide by providing real-time updates about the risk and safe zones across the city.
Not only that, Epic Reality will also provide essential COVID-19 information that will include health precautions and guidelines on facial wear and dress code policies, social distance practices, temperature checks, and more. All this data will be compiled from the most updated and verified international sources like the World Health Organization (WHO).
Other than the COVID-19 related features, the app will also act like a typical travel and tourism app and list all the fun activities, travel tours, events, restaurants, sightseeing spots, cafes, and bars around the city. There will be additional information about each venue so that tourists can travel freely with increased safety.
The app will be powered by Augmented Reality (AR), helping tourists navigate through Dubai city without any hassle. This means that the users can utilise its 360-degree rotate feature to explore hidden and unexplored spots around them. The app uses AR to display the distance, latitude and altitude of any given location. Tourists will be able to download this app once they are in Dubai, and few days, it will be available in the rest of the UAE.
The co-founder of Epic Reality, Ahmad Daneshvar, said that they are excited to allow visitors to use the app and enjoy their trip to Dubai in a safe and risk-free environment by enabling them to stay well-informed of the city's health and safety measures.
