Come July, and Disney World will reopen its gates to millions of fans waiting to relive the magic of Disney. But in the era of social distancing, it might make you wonder about the feasibility of the prospect.

In response to the global coronavirus outbreak, the Disney community announced the closure of Disneyland and Disney World in March, in addition to many of its theme parks all over the globe.

Recently, it was announced that the Walt Disney Company is planning a phased reopening of its theme parks in mid-July. While the Magic Kingdom, which houses trademark attractions like Cinderella's Castle and Space Mountain, and Animal Kingdom are set to reopen on July 11, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are expected to follow suit on July 15.

Though these plans are underway, it still needs approval by Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings and the Florida Government. All attractions are expected to have limited attendance to ensure that guests remain socially distanced. Guests and employees will undergo regular temperature checks and masks and gloves will be made mandatory. Disney also plans to temporarily suspend parades, fireworks and other events that lead to crowd gatherings. The resort will enable cashless transactions and increase the number of available hand-sanitising stations.

Reports also suggest that a social distance squad will be deployed to ensure that guests follow the appropriate guidelines.
