As coronavirus cases spike in Udaipur, the district administrator has come up with a set of new rules to stop the virus from spreading further.
Tourism stakeholders like hotels, airline companies and airport authorities have been issued a fresh set of guidelines.
It is now mandatory for tourists coming from Maharashtra, Kerala, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, to have a RT-PCR test done, which should not be older than 72 hours from their arrival and show their negative reports.
Of course, protocols such as social distancing and wearing masks are compulsory and have to strictly followed. Visitors who do not follow these protocols would be penalised.
Hotels will not not permit visitors to book rooms without showing their negative COVID-19 reports.
If a person doesn't have a report, hotel authorities will get the test done, and the guest will have to remain quarantined until their report comes negative.
Udaipur imposed these restrictions after 29 people tested positive in the Ambamata area.
