The Big Bang Theory may be over but there's some good news for the fans. The costumes worn by the cast of The Big Bang Theory will be put up at the National Museum of American History Collection which has acquired iconic pieces from the TV cast.

This news was announced by the cast on &ldquoThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert&rdquo&nbspon May 16.&nbspBig Bang Theory bid goodbye to television after 12 successful seasons and was produced by Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc, in association with Warner Bros Television.

The costume donation includes clothes worn by characters Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter, Penny, Howard Wolowitz, Raj Koothrappali, Amy Farrah Fowler and Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz. The costumes will join thousands of artifacts in the museum&rsquos popular entertainment collections and help tell the story of groundbreaking work in American television.

Among the costume pieces are Sheldon&rsquos (Jim Parsons) iconic &ldquoFlash&rdquo t-shirt, Leonard&rsquos (Johnny Galeck) &ldquorecycle&rdquo t-shirt and hooded cargo jacket, Penny&rsquos (Kaley Cuoco) pink tank top and Ugg boots, Howard&rsquos (Simon Helberg) plaid shirt and red turtleneck, Raj&rsquos (Kunal Nayyar) sweater vest and jacket, Bernadette&rsquos (Melissa Rauch) yellow cardigan and floral dress and Amy&rsquos (Mayim Bialik) brown wool sweater and green, knee-length skirt.
