While we might have to wait to fly into international skies again, the third phase of Vande Bharat mission is set to begin from June 10. The mission will ferry stranded passengers to various countries, the bookings for which will be open today.

Flights will be operated by Air India from June 10 according to the schedule and cover destinations in the US and Canada. The third phase of the mission begins from June 10, and will have evacuation flights until July 1. The national carrier will be operating 203 flights out of India. And over 350 flights will bring passengers back.

&ldquoAll domestic flights mentioned in schedule below are meant for international connecting passengers departing and arriving on the Air India evacuation flights,&rdquo read the schedule.

The bookings for these flights is set to open tentatively at 1700 hours IST. All passengers will have to web checked-in before arriving at the airport.

While domestic flights began operations in the country on May 25, a date and schedule for international ones is yet to be decided. Owing to the coronavirus pandemic, border restrictions are still in place and despite speculations a call on beginning flights to international routes has not been taken. Civil Aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri, in a series of tweets, shared that the situation is being constantly monitored and as soon as it normalises and poses no danger to citizens, operating international flights will be considered.
