Art & Craft Lovers Chin Up InHerit Is Coming To Delhi

The two day event will be held on 7 & 8 December, 2019 at Sunder Nursery Heritage Park

Design and heritage lovers are in for a treat. InHerit, a premiere festival celebrating the legacy of art, craft and design is set to make its debut in New Delhi. The two day festival will encompass arts & craft, garments & textiles, gems & jewellery, fashion, lifestyle products and heritage travel. An initiative by Teamwork Arts in collaboration with FDCI, the event aims to bring together the finest craftsmen, designers and retailers,

The festival will open on 7 December, 2019 and will be held at the renovated Sunder Nursery Heritage Park. 150 hand-picked exhibitors, including craftemen, padma shri awardees, shilp gurus, artisans, retailers, exporters and women entrepreneurs are expected to grace the event. Fashion Design Council of India, whose work revolves around craft and heritage will also be sharing the platform.

A selection of handicrafts, hand tufted carpets, lacquer products, and other traditional artisanal craft forms will be presented. Among the many exhibitors are master craftsmen like Rahul Salvi, 7th generation weaver of Patan Patola sarees, Padma Shri Tyab Khan and Khatri Suleman Umar Faruk, involved in tie & dye, Abdul Kadar Khatri and Sufiyan Khatri known for their contribution to the craft of  Ajarakh block printing. 

Conducted in partnership with the Embassy of Czech Republic in India, the aim is to promote exchange of ideas and revival of arts, crafts and heritage tourism. This is also a step towards the preservation and promotion of culture and heritage. Even Czech Republican artefacts like bohemian crystals, art glass and amber jewellery will be exhibited at the festival.

Several events have been planned over the course of two days covering various genres such as fashion, craft, lifestyle, home decor, heritage and the like. The exhibition and sale offers  unique holistic experience all under one roof. 

In addition to a meticulously curated shopping experience, visitors can feast on delicious food and enjoy sparkling cultural performances.
