The self-advertised happiest place on earth, Disney Land is soon to become every adult&rsquos dream come true as well. The amusement park will offer alcohol to adults at the soon-to-be-launched Cantina restaurant inside the new Star Wars Galaxy&rsquos Edge.

Till now, Disney parks around the world have restrained from serving any hard liquor to customers. This is with the exception of the alcohol served inside the exlcusive private Club 33 at New Orleans square. The reason for this was partly because Walt Disney himself was not for the sale of alcohol in the parks as it went against his idea of providing a &lsquofamily-friendly&rsquo and &lsquowholesome&rsquo experience.

Oga&rsquos Cantina, which is slated to open next year in both Disneyland Park in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will be the first to break that tradition by serving beverages such as beer, wine and themed-cocktails. Visitors will be allowed to consume the drinks in the restaurant, but cannot carry it around the park.

Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, announced the news in a blog post.

"Patrons will come from across the galaxy to sample the famous concoctions created with exotic ingredients using 'otherworldly' methods. These beverages will be served in unique vessels," a statement on the Disney Parks blog explained.

Is this for better or for worse Really depends on how you view it. But for now, the kids are alright.
