Although travellers were able to fly from Chennai to London or vice versa through connecting flights, they are likely to travel non-stop soon thanks to Air India.

From January 2021, the carrier is likely to start a non-stop flight between Chennai and London, according to news agency reports.

While regular international flights are still not in operation since the pandemic rules were implemented from March this year, select flights became operational with India entering into air bubble pacts with various nations.

Air India is already operating non-stop flights between London and major Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Goa, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Amritsar.

Do not forget to check the latest travel advisories and country specific COVID-19 updates on the airlines website while booking any flight.
